The Vinayaka Mission’s College of Physical Education (VMCPE), Salem, established in the year 2005 is the pioneer institution of the ThirumurugaKirupanandaVariyarThavathiruSundaraSwamigal (TKVTSS) Medical Educational and Charitable Trust The college stands as a trademark for training physical education teachers, coaching the students who can teach physical education, skill and techniques of games &sports and organizing sports competitions. It plays a vital role in the field of physical education teachers and coaches to the needs of society by meeting the ever-increasing demand for Physical education teachers in our country. The College that started with Bachelor of Physical Education (from 2005) and Bachelors of Physical Education &Sports (from 2005). The College is a constituent College of Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation Deemed to be University, Salem and is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi.
The Institution gives good training to students to become best Physical Education Teachers to develop general fitness of the students and to develop skills in various Games and Sports. Our students are thoroughly exposed in learning skill in various games and sports; they also gain knowledge in organizing and conducting various competitions. The students also gain practical exposure to officiate in the various level of competitions. The institution gives training to the students in theory and practical’s to develop their knowledge in Physical Education subjects and Sports Sciences.

It is a registered Trust, totality self-supporting, based at Salem, Tamilnadu, India.

The college is in preparing the physical education leaders with high academic caliber. The service rendered by our college in the Salem and its surroundings as well as the rest of Tamilnadu is massive. Since the college is situated in the Seeragapadi village, Salem and the college is focused to get admission from the rural areas in and around the college and fulfills the vision is to select students particularly from the rural parts of the state and to train them to become good physical Education teachers. The college also aims to produce academically excellent, professionally competent physical education teachers for the nation and the rest of the world. The mission of the college to produce the best physical education teachers would serve as missionaries to tap the talent in the schools and colleges and develop them physically fit, mentally sound and socially enriching in individuals and thus produce fit citizens of India.
I thank the almightily for an opportunity given to me to be in the midst of administrators who are administrating our College. The seed was buried in 2005 and it became a big banyan tree and gave education in physical education and a bright future total the students studying here. Hence I am proudly joining my hands the trustable hands of management and team of staff and doing the work towards the development of Vinayaka Mission’s College of Physical Education in producing academicians and eminent sports personnel in India and abroad.
